Please read our Terms and Conditions very carefully before booking with ABC Driving School. You should understand that by booking with ABC Driving School that you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you decline to agree by these T&Cs we will not be able to accept a booking with you.

GENERAL INFORMATION
ABC Driving School strictly adheres to the DVSA Code of Conduct and holds a DVSA Enhanced DBS certificate, ensuring professionalism and integrity in every aspect of the teaching, in addition to providing reassurance of our commitment to safeguarding and maintaining the highest standards of trust and safety.

ELIGIBILITY FOR DRIVING TUITION
Tuition is available to pupils who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 17+ (or 16+ if receiving the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance - mobility component).
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence, presented at the first lesson and periodically thereafter.
  • Meets medical fitness standards to drive, including being able to read a number plate at the required distance.

The client must notify the instructor or school immediately of:

  • Any points, endorsements, bans, or convictions on your licence.
  • Any medical conditions or disabilities affecting your ability to drive.

CANCELLATIONS AND LESSON POLICIES
All cancellations must be notified by telephone, email or text message. Messages received in time (before the last 24 hours) will be confirmed.

  • Notice Period: At least 24 clear working hours notice is required for cancellations as the fee will be payable.
  • Late Arrivals: If the pupil causes lessons to run late then the cancellation fee may apply.
  • Unforeseen Events: Lessons may be rearranged or cancelled at short notice due to traffic, weather, or other uncontrollable circumstances. Pupils will not be charged in these events.

DRIVING TESTS
A 2 hour booking and an additional cost for the use of your instructor’s car is required on the test day, covering pre-test practice, the test itself, and return travel.

Your instructor may withdraw the tuition vehicle for the test if:

  • You have not reached the required standard.
  • You are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications affecting your driving ability.
  • If the instructor’s car is unavailable due to a mechanical issue, when a retest will be booked at no extra cost to you. Every effort will be made to provide notice and a replacement vehicle for tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND CONDUCT
Whilst in control of the instructor's car pupils are expected to drive as instructed. Pupils will be responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal infringements incurred while driving.

We reserve the right to cancel a lesson if the pupil is deemed to be unfit for driving due to alcohol, drugs or other medical reasons that may affect the safety of the pupil, instructor or to others. We reserve the right to withdraw our car for tests without notice should the pupil be deemed not up to test standard. 

Complaints should be raised with the instructor, and in writing, within 7 days of the incident using ABC Contact us form.

ABC driving instructor abides by the Government's Code of Practice.

PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Payments must always be made upfront prior to each lesson.

Refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis at the normal hourly rate.

Refunds are not available for completed lessons or expired block bookings.
